Last night on Skyrim, I was trying to start the quest for Darkwater Pass so I could get Derkeethus for a follower. As I was running around in Eastmarch, I happened upon a giant just… standing there.
When I got closer, it turns out he was staring at the corpse of a mammoth. There was a bear nearby, so I can only guess that the bear killed this guy’s mammoth before he could protect it. Or maybe a dragon. I could see a giant camp on my map not far away, even, so he wasn’t even far from home when his mammoth got killed.
I felt bad for him, so I tried resurrecting it with my console, but nothing worked. I must have spent at least five minutes in the area, and he never moved.
